There’s not long left until the Inaugural RS21 World Championship takes place. Teams from around the world are coming together in true RS style to celebrate the sport we all love. Tensions are high and teams are eager to compete for the title, RS21 World Champion.
We spoke to the Rockstars Racing team from Poland to find out more about their team and why they are choosing to participate in the 2022 RS21 World Championship.

Background
Rockstars Racing is a sailing team created by a group of friends from Poland. All of us started sailing on Optimist at an early age. For years of training on many boats, including Olympic classes such as ILCA7 or 470, we have gained a lot of experience and versatile skills. Our crew originates from Gdańsk University of Technology Sailing Team, where we first met and sailed together, winning numerous academic and national trophies.
This season
Since our establishment, we have been focusing on sailing in the Polish Sailing League (Polska Liga Żeglarska), where we sail on RS21 class boats. This season we have won the First League and managed to qualify for Top League (Ekstraklasa), in which we hope to get great results next year. We also participated in the Polish RS21 Cup, Open Polish Championship in Match Racing and Women on Water event in Sopot.
Plans for the future
Our main activity is the Polish Sailing League. However, we wish to compete even more often in international events such as the RS21 World Championship. We also plan to participate in the Sailing Champions League and World Match Racing Tour. We look to the future, which without a doubt means foiling: currently, some of us are sailing on modern classes such as Nacra 17 and Waszp.
