The Inaugural 2022 RS21 World Championship will be held in Croatia at Biograd Na Moru on the Dalmatian Coast. From 3 to 6 November, more than 40 teams from around the world will come together to race in the world-class RS21. Four days of racing will see top sailors compete for the overall trophy with daily prizegiving and socials. An opportunity for champions and sailors from around the world to rub shoulders, share tips and encourage heated racing on the water. The RS21 is known for not only it’s performance but also, it’s fiercely close racing. There will be teams that have sailed together, and some that haven’t. Just know that on the water, everyone will be on the same playing field, and fair racing is at the core of this event.
RS21 World Championship Social Programme

You will be welcomed with an Opening Ceremony, expect bubbles and a big celebration to kick the 2022 RS21 World Championship off. Come along and meet fellow competitors, event organisers, race team, volunteers, as well as other special guests.
Later in the week, we will enjoy a superb Regatta Dinner at the stunning Marina Kornati Restaurant, the dress code will be smart dress to give the evening that extra special vibe. Details for both evenings will be available soon.
Keeping in touch
While we will be using email and our website to communicate during the event, we will also want to push quick notices to you, so we will be using Telegram. We use this platform for a couple of reasons.
Unlike WhatsApp, when you join a chat on Telegram, you will see all previous messages meaning you will not miss any important information shared if you join late. In addition, Telegram does not show your phone number to other members of the group (unless they already have it) ensuring your privacy, which was previously the case with WhatsApp.
However, we must advise that messaging is not default encrypted, and so you should set your settings to suit your preference as soon as you join.

Exploring Biograd Na Moru
If you’re looking to explore the local area on either side of the RS21 World Championship, here are some recommended areas to visit.
- Sightseeing in Biograd Na Moru, the town is home to several churches and the Biograd Museum, where you can see an exhibit of a Venetian ship that sunk off the coast in the 16th
- The Island of Pasman, located just off the Croatian coast, has regular ferries from Biograd to Tkon, which take 20 minutes. Jadrolinija runs these (which take cars – so you can fully explore Pasman).
- The Island of Galesnjak, a heart-shaped like island that is often called the ‘island of love’ is a tiny uninhabited island in the Pasman channel. For its romantic nature, something may be worth visiting – it can only be visited by a privately hired boat, so ask in town.
- Kornati National Park, with over 80 islands, this stunning park is popular for sailing, diving, camping and hiking.
