We have one week to go until the Inaugural RS21 World Championship will take place in Biograd Na Maru, Croatia. With over 40 teams registered from countries around the world, we know that this is going to be the race of the year. An opportunity for champions and sailors from around the world to participate in four days of racing and socials, sharing tips and encouraging heated racing on the water. There will be teams who have raced together before, and those who haven’t, but on the water everyone is on the same playing field. With fair racing at the core of this event, it comes down to the skill of the teams. One of the teams entered is Nox Oceani from Italy.
Nox Oceani sail for more than just racing, they are an innovative sports project that aims to combine a love for sailing, social commitment and respect for the environment. A project that was born by the will of a group of friends who are passionate about the sea, they train young athletes who bring the message of respect for the environment in the most important international regatta fields. They will join us at the RS21 World Championship, here’s what they have to say.
“Our team is mainly made up of young people between the ages of 10 and 20, and for us, the Vela is the vehicle to spread a strong message of respect for the environment. Our athletes are the true testimonials of our mission: eco-sustainability and conservation of the environment in which we live. Participation in the RS21 World Championship will be a great sporting experience for our team. Participating will be a great win!”
